Vaccines . . .fun, fun, fun.

Well, you have to take the bad with the good right? Normally, getting a couple of vaccines wouldn’t be a big deal, but when you are planning a trip around the world they become an issue.

We visited the CDC site, very comprehensive and helpful, extremely overwhelming. As if getting stuck and injected with chemicals that you have no idea where they came from or what they are isn’t bad enough, trying to figure out how many you need and the diseases that you may be exposed to seems to be just as challenging. So, to try to make myself feel a little less stress about the whole thing, I made a spreadsheet. Turns out it is pretty scary in itself.
Mark hasn’t had any routine shots so he is in for a fun little run of sore arms and butt cheeks. Thankfully, I have had some routines, but still have a significant number of shots to go.
Running tally of vaccines we have received within the past 2 weeks (thankfully one of them is in pill form):
Mark-3
Jess-4
FYI- Mark is scared to death of needle, go figure right? He has to ask for a butterfly needle when he has blood drawn. Needless to say, he was not having a good time. . .

hello mark!
i read this thing all the time, but this time I’ll stop lurking and comment!
i am totally in the same boat as you with the whole needle thing. I get all woozy when i get near em. go figure.
hows that power adapter working out for you?
Ha! I love these photos. Mark looks like he’s 12. I want to go on the trip with you and write a love story about the VanNess Vagabonds.
Meet us somewhere!
Steve I have insane anxiety about more or less doctors offices more than anything , but a couple o shots of tequila helps out a long way . Just kidding don’t do that.
Paige you are more than welcome to come along and write. It will probably the best entertainment for you, when you could see Jessica and myself debate on “Who freaks out in the airport more?” TO be continued …..
